How did you get shaders in maximum settings? I’m trying but depending on the Wine version there are lots of glitches (1.7.46-staging) or just some glitches with a terrible performance (2.1-staging)
Hi!
I don’t know, it just worked :)
Maybe I ran some winetricks, but I honestly can’t remember..
Anyway you shouldn’t use a so old Wine version (1.7.), the newer version should work fine.
Also Wine 2. set Windows version to 7 by default, try to change it to Xp and see if it gets better.
Cheers
I read that shaders higher than “low” uses DirectX 10, which Wine doesn’t support very well, I really tried a lot of configs and Wine versions and I couldn’t activate those shaders :/ If you remember what you did, please, tell me!
Hey I just tried the game and it works maxed out without any issues..
I think that the game doesn’t use Dx10, at least that’s what PcGamingWiki.com tells about what APIs the game uses (it shows only Dx9).
Later I’ll do some videos :)
Cheers!
You’re right about the D3D9 thing, it uses shadermodel 3.0 that is D3D9,
I did everything that is in the appdb, but it stills make the game unplayable with shader higher than low in recent wine versions and in 1.7 (staging) it have severe glitches in the borders of the map and unexplored areas (and health bars and some shadows). I don’t know if it’s related with intel drivers or the card itself, I didn’t tried in Windows, but I recall having this error with Wine in my old AMD computer too.
